You probably know that that several San Diego State University students were recently arrested during a campus drug bust. Many have debated the impact that this situation will have on the image and reputation of the University. Because I do not know the details of the situation, it would probably not be appropriate for me to comment on that at this time.
Ironically, the same day as authorities arrested students at SDSU, I was working on my Facebook profile. Out of curiosity I searched the American Marketing Association on the site. Interestingly, AMA did not come up. That is a bit frustrating when this is supposed to be one of the world's leading authorities on marketing. To my pleasure, the AMA student chapter website at SDSU came up.
I want to congratulate the SDSU student chapter of the AMA for their forward thinking strategy of being on Facebook. To me, the student chapter enhances the image and reputation of SDSU. Nicely done!
