Engaging All Employees in the Brand Building Process

Receptionist_opt A simple reminder, we need to engage all of our employees in our brand development efforts. Too often, organizations limit their internal brand efforts to senior administration, communications and marketing personnel. The employee groups that are left out of the process are information desks, receptionists and other key personnel that we rely on to deliver on our brand promise.

Just like other touch points like web sites, collateral materials and presentations, the personnel who answer our phones, give directions to our customers and others are the means by which we bring our brands to life. No matter where your organization is at in your brand development process, the time is now to engage all personnel in your branding efforts.

Last week, I facilitated a series of meetings with employees of one of my clients. It was great to see all levels of the organization providing insights and recommendations about ways to implement the organization's mission and brand strategy. How do you engage front desk personnel in building your brand?
