McCain- Palin Brand

Like many of you, I was prepared to write about the McCain- Romney team today. But, Senator McCain threw us a curve. Those who adhere to his maverick brand attribute would say that the choice of Sarah Palin aligns with the McCain brand. From what little I know about Palin, she appears to be a maverick too. 

A week ago I wrote about the Obama- Biden brand, and how I thought the decision of Joe Biden probably enhanced the Obama brand, and the US Democratic party brand. I must admit that I do not know much about Alaska Governor, Palinto make an informed decision about whether or not she enhances the Republican party brand or not. At first glance, it appears to be a knee-jerk reaction and attempt to sway Clinton voters. I anticipate next week we will hear many explanations.

What affect does the choice of Palin have on the McCain brand, and the Republican party brand? Will Palin attract Hillary brand champions?
