Brand Books for Brand Champions

Books

Yesterday I read the October 2008 edition of Inc. magazine. On page 20 is an interesting article about books that inspire people. Immediately, I thought about the brand books that I have read over the past five years and recall several that have inspired me. You can find many referenced on this blog and on my website.

Those books that are top-of-mind and that have inspired my work as a brand consultant and much of the content of this blog include: Brand Sense by Martin Lindstrom, The Starbucks Experience and The New Gold Standard by Joseph Michelli, Eating the Big Fish and The Pirate Inside by Adam Morgan, Meatball Sundae by Seth Godin, Living the Brand by Nicholas Ind, Personality Not Included by Rohit Bhargava and Taking Brand Initiative by Mary Jo Hatch and Majken Schultz. I would encourage you to go to Amazon.com or your favorite bookstore and pick up a copy of any of these magnificent publications.

Which brand books have inspired you?

Rex, I continue to be in your debt for your support of my books. I think it is time for us to share another cup of coffee together. I think you should be nominated as Brand Champion of the Year. You have revolutionized educational brands and understand the nuiansces of the educational segment like no other.

Joseph, those are such kind words. Although I am not sure that I am worthy of such praise, I value them coming from you. The work that you have accomplished is so inspiring, one can't help but find success. Yes, it is time for us to share a cup of coffee soon!
