Brand Champion of the Day- Alexander "Sasha" Artemev, US Olympic Gymnastics

Ok, call me a homer, but I am going to reward the brand champion of the day to someone who lives just a few miles away from me. Alexander "Sasha" Artemev is a bronze medalist for the US Olympic Gymnastics Team. His performance on the pommel horse was a thing of beauty, and allowed his team to medal. For those of you who do not know, Sasha was a last minute replacement for an injured team member. Not only is he an Olympic medalist, but today he is the Brand Champion of the Day.

Artemev's father was also a gymnast and competed for Russia many years ago. So, competing is in Sasha's blood. Success on the pommel horse is one of the most difficult things to achieve. Sasha shared these thoughts about his performance. "I was a little bit nervous, I'm not going to lie. I used that energy to say to myself, 'I'm not going to fall off this horse no matter what, the team needs me, let's prove to them that I'm clutch when it comes to these types of situations.' "
