Brand Champion of the Day- H&M
Earlier in the week, I read that my city might be getting our first H&M store. If that decision becomes a reality, then Denver will be one of 1,600 stores in 29 countries around the world. Employees would add to the approximately 68,000 who work for H&M around the world. There is renewed enthusiasm in Denver to become known more as a culturally progressive city, and an H&M store would certainly help it move in that direction.
The Swedish-based, fashion stores are recognized as leaders in the world of brand, and that reputation was validated when I recently went to their web site to do some research on the company. I am of the school of thought that believes a brand is our name and what we stand for. So, it was with great pleasure that I read the following on the H&M web site.
A strong brand is an increasingly important competitive advantage. All H&M's communications aims to build the brand, short-and long-term, while at the same time conveying the company's offering. Collections, stores, the magazine, PR activities, shows, events and design, collaborations must communicate the same messages. Customers must be able to recognize H&M and know what H&M stands for-fashion and quality at the best price.
Branding nirvana! For this, H&M is the Brand Champion of the Day.
