Brand Champion of the Day- Zhang Yimou, Director, Opening and Closing Ceremonies, Beijing Olympics

Today I am honored to recognize Zhang Yimou as the Brand Champion of the Day. Without a doubt his work in directing the opening and closing ceremonies of the Summer Olympic Games in Beijing is unmatched from previous games. In fact, his work might be unmatched period.

The creativity, innovation, color, pageantry, efficiency and other aspects of the opening and closing ceremonies were magnificent. I have not witnessed the precision and technological advances before. While the people of London are some of the leaders in my world of branding, they have a tall order to match or exceed the work of Zhang Yimou. But, I know they are up for the challenge.
