As you see to in the upper left and right-hand corners of this page, you see the words Brand Champions, and True Believers Redefine Marketing. I really do feel that way. The role of the marketer is evolving into the role of the brand champion. I consider those who think that way too are the innovators and those who will continue to find success.
Those who do not understand and embrace brand development, market research and social marketing are going to be left in the dust. Not because they are bad people or because they are not smart people, it is simply the fact that is how the world is evolving. Those people and organizations that continue to limit their view of the world through the traditional advertising and direct mail lens are going to see a very fuzzy picture. I used to do that, but brand, research and social marketing allowed me to adjust my lense and now the world of marketing is in focus.
If we do not champion brand development, market research and social marketing can we really call ourselves marketers any longer?
