There are not too many people who epitomize what it means to be a brand champion more than Phil Harris, Captain of the Cornelia Marie. You probably know Phil from seeing him on the Discovery Channel show, Deadliest Catch. The program captures the trials and tribulations of fisherman off the coast of Alaska.
This past week Phil died from a massive stroke which he suffered on January 29 while his boat was in port at St. Paul Island, Alaska. Phil was such a great example of championing a brand, whether it be for his vessel, his crew or for his crab fishing industry. As a result, he recruited and retained many champions of his brand.
For your work and your life, Phil Harris, you are the Brand Champion of the Day!

Love that show. Sorry to hear the news. He is probably more than just a brand champion but a category champion.
