Two weeks ago I am not sure I would recognize the name Sarah Palin, now I am writing about her brand. What a difference a few weeks and intense media attention make. Last Wednesday night like many you, I watched her acceptance speech and assessed her brand.

Wednesday was her chance to demonstrate to the world what she stands for. Identifying oneself as a pit bull with lipstick is an interesting brand attribute of the Vice President of the United States of America. Although minus the lipstick, I guess the case could be made that her description is more of the same. So, maybe I will give her a pass on that one.

I am not sure I understand her brand yet. I guess we will learn more in the next 60 days. If you only had two months to launch your brand internationally, would you open with a comedic attempt to blast your competition, and describe yourself as a pit bull? Can you attain more brand champions with that approach?
