Today I am in the beautiful city of Seattle. Travels this afternoon take me to the University of Washington where I meet with a fellow higher education brand professional. More about what we are up to in a future post. UW is just one of the many sub-brands that comprise the Seattle brand.
Others include Amazon.com, Microsoft and Starbucks. Those of you who know me, understand the passion I have for these three brands and often cite them as best practices and case studies. For example Starbucks is a great example of how to develop brand champions by engaging employees and customers in the brand development process. The green apron book is a wonderful brand book.
In Seattle I feel like I am in brand nirvana. Or should I say Band Nirvana? Which of course is another time-tested Seattle music brand. As is the legendary Jimi Hendrix who was born in Seattle.
